6 billion Others....connecting humanity from around the world

6 billion Others is a website I found quite by accident last night....what an intriguing project! A web project developed in Adobe Flash (you will need the Flash Player and a high-speed Internet connection for best viewing) by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a talented man who is an amazing storyteller through photography and video. His aerial photography taken from helicopters and balloons can be seen in many published books and quite often in National Geographic magazines. Visit his personal website to see some amazing photography....I especially enjoyed the feature he did on the animals!

In 2003 he had an epiphany to bring together a "portrait of contemporary mankind by asking questions about universal values."

The website takes you on a journey where the 6 billion Others crews have travelled and where they are going next. The target is to have all interviews ready by 2008!

Classroom....

What a great journey to take your students on! To have an opportunity to hear human testimonies from different cultures around the world....it just may help make this world a little smaller :)
