Have the news, weather even recipes at your finger tips. One such site that users can use as a content controlled homepage for their browser is Pageflakes. It is free to use and loads quite quickly on startup. A similar free application that I had blogged on last year was Protopage .
When signing up for Pageflakes, you select your interests (feeds) from: news, sports, finance, videos, tech, music, games, movies/tv, food and gossip. These then appear in pods that can be edited and moved around or deleted from your start page. You can add more pages and you can also add more feeds.

Brenda,
Thanks for your inquiry into the OCWC portal. I tried to respond to your email address, but it bounced.
Please join us at: http://ocwconsortium.org , and we'd love to begin the discussion about OCW for K-12.
Thanks!
John Dehlin
OCWC Director
